Norway Elkhounds are famous hunting companions due to their great tracking speed and quick wits. A group of friends recently encountered a wild bear in Finland, but their Norwegian elkhound helped the poor bear get lost. Then the friends continued to explore the jungles of Mexico.

This video, shot from two camera angles, shows a dog running away from a bear attack. He falls not once but twice before returning for another round with his attacker. The gruesome scene looks like it’s going to end in tragedy, but it’s not what you think.

As you will see in the video, the dog looked like it was being ambushed by a bear, but decided to find a quick and clever escape plan. He leads the bear back into the forest, where it jumps after him, causing even more fear in the people. We’d love to tell you more, but you really need to watch this fascinating video below.

Local residents in the mountains of Eastern Canada were relieved to learn that their family dog had only acquired a special fear of the bear and its prowling around. Although the bear wasn’t trying to hunt down and hunt the dog, it was actually just looking for a potential mate after being alone for so long!
