Gal swaddles a premature puppy whose head was the size of her thumb

When Stewart, a tiny Chihuahua, was born, his head was the size of a thumb. He was not a typical puppy. He was born prematurely and had a hard time bonding with his mother. He needed someone who could take care of him 24/7. Anita, who has extensive experience working with premature babies, was chosen. She knew she had to try to help Stuart survive.

To ensure Stewart’s survival, Anita created an incubator-like environment using a laundry basket. She set alarms to wake up every two hours during the night to check on his condition and provide needed help. Fortunately, Stewart’s determination and grit paid off and he began to show signs of improvement.

Within a week, Stewart was fussy and fussy, even climbing onto a towel in his makeshift incubator. His foster mother was amazed at his progress, considering that only a few days ago he did not have the strength to crawl to his mother. Stewart’s curiosity and adventurous spirit were evident, and Anita knew his character would help him continue to grow stronger.

Despite his improvements, Stewart was still delayed in his development. He had trouble keeping track of toys and needed sensory toys to help him progress. One such toy was his musical mouse, which at first he just lay next to. Gradually, Stuart began to interact more with the toy, biting it with his mouth and throwing it up. This toy not only stimulated Stuart, but also served as a way for Anita to gauge his progress.

As Stewart continued to grow in size and coordination, so did his feisty side. He started to take responsibility and show that he is not just a tiny fragile puppy. When Stewart finally learned to maneuver on his own, his foster mom knew he was ready to join a new home forever.

With a heartfelt goodbye and a reminder that his new mom would love his kisses too, Stewart was introduced to his new family. His new mom was amazed at how tiny he was, but she bonded with him deeply. Anita knew she would help Stuart continue to develop into a well-rounded little boy.
