The weatherman’s dog interrupts the weather broadcast in search of treats

Fellow fans of both dogs and news gags, you’re going to love this one. The usual weather forecast for Toronto Global News suddenly became the primary vehicle for the weatherman’s dog last week.

Storm, as the dog is cutely named, accidentally wandered into his dad’s broadcast in search of treats. The consummate professional, Anthony Farnell continued his presentation as Storm continued to inadvertently steal the spotlight.

In the signature on YouTube video segment, World news wrote:

“Last Friday, a treat-hungry Storm walked onto the set in the middle of Anthony’s weather report, demanding treats even as Farnell was explaining to Ontarians what the weekend’s weather would be like and discussing the dangers Hurricane Ida poses to the the south .”

“Storm in the Building”

The best part of this whole news clip is the fact that Storm seems welcome on the air dog-impolitely-achieves-his-dream-of-becoming-a-news-reporter/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>despite its interruption. As the puppy passes in front of the green screen, Farnell casually continues his report:

“Storm in the building, gets treats, walks on air…”

All the while, as Farnell continues to discuss upcoming temperatures and international weather forecasts, Storm casually strolls around the set. He sniffs the ground and breathes absentmindedly as he watches his dad point out something he can’t see.
